| School Hours | The building is open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. | |
| Attendance | The importance of regular school attendance cannot be over emphasized. Children should be in school when they are physically able. Although some assignments can be made-up, the interaction between student and teacher is irreplaceable. Please contact the school at 303-364-7411 to report student absence. | |
| School Visitors | All visitors must sign in at the main office and present a photo ID. Visitors will receive a visitor name tag which should be worn easily visible to staff. | |
| Cafeteria | Breakfast:Served between 6:50-7:15 a.m. Lunch: Served between 10:40-1:06pm All grade level students will eat lunch at their designated time with their grade level gender. | |
| Weather Emergencies | When snow hits our city, APS staff members assess conditions beginning just after midnight to determine the impact on operations. Should we need to close school or delay the start of school, staff will make the decision as early as possible. Once a decision is made, distric staff will initiate a Connect-ED call to all families informing them of the delay or closure. Information is also shared ASAP with all media, posted on the APS Web site and APS emergency line, 303-326-1080. Should APS staff make the decision to delay school, the school day would begin one hour later than normal. Staff members are expected to get to school as close to their regular start time as is safely possible as some students will arrive at normal time. APS buses will pick up students one hour later than normal.Our top priority is to keep students and staff as safe as possible.For more information visit:

| Safety and Security | The first bell rings at 7:15am. Classes begin at 7:20am with the daily announcements. Students are not allowed into the building until the first bell has rung. The school day ends at 2:50 pm.Students must leave the school campus unless they are under the supervision of a staff member or involved in an after school activity. North Middle School operates under a closed campus policy. Students must remain on school grounds and may not leave without parent/guardian permission or until dismissed at the end of the school day.Parents are encouraged to visit North Middle School. Advanced arrangements are recommended. All visitors must check in with the main office before attending or visiting any classroom. When visitors sign in, he/she will be given a visitor's identification badge that must be worn for the duration of the visit on school grounds. Visitors must sign out at the time of departure.*Dismissal during the School Day 1. Parents/Guardian report to school office. For safety reasons, student will only be released to parent/guardian/individuals listed on the emergency card/Infinite Campus system. 2. Provide first and last name of student to Attendance Clerk.3. Sign the "Sign out" sheet and provide information requested.4. Students will not be allowed to meet or wait for parent/guardian in parking lot. | |
