I was born and raised in Michigan, but moved to Colorado in 2013 to take a position as a mathematics teacher in Aurora Public Schools. This will be my tenth year in Aurora Public Schools and my third year at North Middle School. My husband and I have a one year old son and have been enjoying all of the new experiences that come with parenthood. In my free time, I enjoy baking, cross-stitching, watching movies, playing sports, and spending time with family.

North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me: The North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me is being team focused. John Wooden said, “We don’t have to be superstars or win championships…. All we have to do is learn to rise to every occasion, give our best effort, and make those around us better as we do it.” I believe that we are better together and all have a responsibility to ourselves and each other to continue learning in order to become the best version of ourselves that we can be.
