Hello! My name is Patrick Winter and I will be the 6th grade counselor for the 2023-2024 school year. This is my 2nd year at North Middle School and 5th year as a school counselor. I also coach boys basketball at North. I previously worked as an elementary school counselor in my home state of Iowa. Go Hawks!
This summer, my wife, Molly, and I got married in Chicago. She is an elementary special education teacher in Brighton. We also have a dog named Keely.
When I’m not working, I love to read, play basketball, hike, run, and attend live sporting events. My favorite professional sports teams are the Minnesota Twins, Green Bay Packers, and the Denver Nuggets.
Looking forward to a great school year!

North Edge Characteristic that resonates with you and why:
Team Focused. I pride myself in bringing joy to others in what I do as a counselor and colleague. I believe that systems work best when everyone walks through the doors each day feeling welcomed, understood, and valued. As a staff member, it’s really important to model this characteristic for our students if we expect them to operate as a team, too.
