My name is Seth Hurwitz and I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have a BA in Psychology/Sociology from the University of New Mexico and am currently working towards my teaching license through the ASPIRE to teach program that CU offers. I have lived in Denver since 2013 with my 8 year old son named Everest, he is an amazing guy who lights up my life every day. When we moved to Denver I became a communications General Foreman working with fiber optics and 5G technology for about 6 years. I still missed being where I felt I belonged, the classroom so I became a substitute. I was offered a long term position for the 2020 school year at North Middle school where I have found a great team and environment to nurture my development as a Media Arts and Yearbook teacher. For fun Everest and I like to camp, hike, bike, swim, disc golf and do anything else that gets us outside.

North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me: Growth Potential resonates with me the most because I am working under a secondary license with a goal to complete the alternative licensure program and become a fully licensed teacher. The team at North sees and supports my growth potential helping me gain and apply new information quickly as well as learn and try on new strategies.
