Hello North Families,

I am happy to bring the DHH cluster program to North Middle School for the first time. You will likely see people around North using Sign Language to communicate-those are my people! I teach Math, Literacy and Self Advocacy to students who are DHH.

I was born in Nebraska but grew up in Denton, Texas. Outside of APS, I teach ASL part time at Community College of Aurora and do freelance interpreting work in the metro area. I have been in Colorado for 5 years and I moved here because I wanted my boy/girl twins (now 7) to have a wide range of experiences to grow up with. I love to travel, camp, hike, swim and mostly just hang out with my people. I am currently back in school for an Educational Leadership Licensure. I offer a safe, inclusive space for all students and approach education with trauma informed knowledge.

North Edge Characteristic that resonates with you and why:

The North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me is Good Energy. I try to find quick solutions to hiccups so students can continue throughout the day with positive intentions set and good energy in a space they can learn.
