Hello, My name is Zack Hurst and I am one of the 6th grade Literacy Teachers here at North. I am married with twin boys named Landon and Hunter. Some of my interests are that I love reading/writing, hiking, baseball, football, running, movies, and hanging with friends and family. The reason I teach literacy is that I love introducing my students to new worlds, new situations, and new ideas; then seeing them connect those experiences to their own world.

North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me:

The North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me is Unity. Unity is the cornerstone of what makes education fun and impactful because it is all about viewing each other as a team, a family, that you know has your back. With unity, you have resources when things are bleak, friends when things are exciting, and mentors that push you out of your comfort zone. Unity puts power into each student's hands and gives them ownership of their education and their interactions with their peers.
