About me:  I am a Colorado native, and while I do not ski/snowboard, I do love the mountains dearly and visit them throughout the year.  I enjoy spending time with my dogs, Caramel and Nitro, and going on adventures with my niece and nephew whenever I can. I have had experience working with students in grades K through 12, and have taught many different subjects.  I have had the opportunity to be an instructional coach for the last 3 years during which I gained so much knowledge and look forward to bringing that to my new classroom at North. Mathematics is by far my favorite subject to teach because I love the puzzles and the problem solving skills required to persevere through the material.  I am so excited to join the team at North to continue to learn and grow as a professional as well as work with all students to instill a great passion for math.

Classes Taught/Role: 7th Grade Math Teacher

North Edge Characteristic that resonates with me and why: The characteristic that resonates with me the most is perseverance.  I feel that the willingness to push forward and take risks through challenging endeavors is so important to the growth of each human. Julie Andrews says it so well, “Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th”.  In order to learn and grow we must be willing to try until we understand and feel proud of the accomplishment.
